Grownups live under the assumption that childhood is a carefree time, which is full of happiness, games, love and laughter. The reality is that life is becoming increasingly challenging in day-to-day life for children as it is for adults. They are constantly dealing with changes in regards to their body, school, friends and family. The only difference is that for children, due to the lack of experience, it becomes difficult to make sense of their feelings.

Children between the age group of 0-13 years absorb information good & bad from their surroundings and these learnings get imprinted upon their developing minds. Childhood experiences, specific or even uneventful ones, leave a lasting impression on their minds, shaping them to grow accordingly. So, it is highly important for a parent to help their children understand and decipher how they feel, behave and represent the world. In such a scenario, NLP and Hypnotherapy have proven to be an essential tool for children to understand the issues or problems and deal with them with the right support from their parents and family.

Common problems that children face are:

  • Exam Stress
  • Phobias
  • Loss of friend or family member (bereavement)
  • Low self-esteem
  • Lack of confidence
  • Family upheaval (job transfer of parents, divorce, etc.)

Children are much more malleable than adults and their minds are more open to the idea of change or improvement. They just need proper direction and good conditioning from their trusted sources – parents.

What is Hypnotherapy?

The topic has a lot of confusion wrapped around it, making it suspicious for many parents. However, it is completely safe, when conducted by trained and licenced professionals. Hypnotherapy allows you to access your subconscious mind by slipping the mind into a trance-like daydreamy state. This is easy for children as they manage to daydream quite naturally. This trance-like state is then used to adjust their programming, alter their thoughts and shift their emotions to a more motivated state. This helps them attain the results they are capable of in their full potential.

In simpler terms, Hypnotherapy switches the conscious brain off and enables the subconscious mind to receive and absorb newer ideas or learning. In adults, this works wonders to help them quit an addiction like smoking or eating junk food. In conjugation with NLP, Hypnotherapy has proven to be highly helpful in training the existing pathways in children’s brain towards certain positive behavioural patterns.

What is NLP?

NLP stands for neuro-linguistic programming. Using this technique, we, at Renaé help children go towards positive personal growth by reprogramming and strengthening the neural pathways in the brain. The NLP techniques allow the brain to be more aware towards understanding a certain situation and properly responding to it, without feeling stressed or nervous. It allows the brain to better process the external experiences into information and handles the situation better.

It is highly beneficial to children suffering from dyslexia, depression, anxiety, peer pressure and other such issues. NLP combined with Hypnotherapy can not only cater to these problems but also help build confidence in them.
